Raiders advance to district semifinal

Eighth grader Nica Rosenberg '28 led the way with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals as the Raiders cruised to a 40-9 victory in the class 3A district 15 girls basketball quarterfinals over Downtown Doral. Senior Gabby Pena '24 added thirteen points and 8 rebounds in the win. The victory moves the team to 16-9 on the season as they prepare for a district semifinal contest at home against Posnack Wednesday evening. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. as part of doubleheader with the first semifinal of the evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. Should the Raiders win they will advance to the district final Friday at 6:00 p.m at Ransom Everglades.
