THE RANSOM EVERGLADES EDUCATION DEVELOPS IN STUDENTS a lifelong love of learning, personal integrity and responsible citizenship, helping to provide the foundation for a productive life. Graduates leave Ransom Everglades prepared not only for continued education at the finest colleges and universities, but also with self-confidence derived from the interdisciplinary experience that defines Ransom Everglades. Although the students depart the campus on graduation day, the spirit and values instilled in them remain strong, bonding them to their friends and teachers for life. Many graduates return as faculty, coaches, speakers, mentors, and more and more frequently, as parents and grandparents to subsequent generations of Ransom Everglades students.

Tradition, Thinking, Teamwork, Talent and Technology are the hallmarks of the Ransom Everglades educational experience. Students embark on journeys into the future eager to celebrate the honor and excellence instilled in them at Ransom Everglades in order to become the leaders of Tomorrow.

The Admission Process

The role of the Ransom Everglades Committee on Admission is to choose candidates with qualities, which are indicative of success in the demanding academic program of the school. Ransom Everglades admits students regardless of race, religion and national or ethnic origin. The evaluation of individual applicants is based upon:

  • An on-campus personal interview
  • Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT)
  • Academic record
  • Recommendations from applicant's teacher or principal

Our school seeks students who demonstrate above average ability and interest in a broad and challenging educational program. Good grades and high test scores do not guarantee admission to Ransom Everglades; the school community is enriched by human beings with ideals and values as well as strong credentials. When a limited number of vacancies exists at a particular grade level, qualified candidates are placed on a waiting list.
