Adam Friedson, Class of 1977
Adam is producing with The Broward Center for the Performing Arts the World Premiere of his new show THE 12. THE 12 is an All-Star Rock and Roll concert musical sequel to "Jesus Christ Superstar." It has the tone of Rent, is in the genre of The Who's 'Tommy,' and has a rock band setting like "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." It premieres at The Broward Center for The Performing Arts on Thursday April 1, at 8 PM. There is Only One Performance of this world Premiere event! Daniel Kreeger, Class of 1994
Daniel is now the Executive Director of the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO). ACCO is the first and only professional development and membership organization for executives in industry, government, academia and the NGO community who are addressing the impacts of climate change on their organizations. Daniel is a regular lecturer on the business impacts of climate change, and in particular, speaks to change management, organizational culture, human capital and economic development issues. In February, Daniel will be speaking and lecturing at RETECH 2010, MIA Green, Duke University and Harvard. More information about ACCO is available at www.ACCOonline.org.
Kenny Broad, Class of 1984
Kenny was featured recently in a NOVA program on Channel 2 for a cave diving expedition that he led in the Bahamas. Details are on the Channel 2 website. He was named as an Emerging Explorer by the National Geographic Society a couple of years back and his work in the Bahamas will be published by National Geographic at some point in the near future.
Gideon Ajagbe, Class of 2010
Wednesday, February 3, 2010 (National Signing Day) Gideon Ajagbe ’10 signed his NCAA National Letter of Intent with the University of Florida. According to the Miami Herald, some of the area’s finest high school football players signed with the Gators on Wednesday. The Gators’ class is a consensus No. 1 in the nation by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN.com and nine of the players are from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. “It was an easy decision,” said Gideon. Gideon was the first player of the Gators’ Miami-Dade foursome to commit. “We kind of hit one early with Gideon and then kind of got some momentum going.” Coach Meyer said.
RE honored this great accomplishment in a signing ceremony that took place in the Henry H. Anderson, Jr.’38 Gymnasium.

Connie Taudt-Ehrling, Class of 1988
Connie recently had two photographs selected for the annual AIA (American Institute of Architects) Miami Photography Competition, the images part of their "Images of Miami" category, were exhibited at the University of Miami School of Architecture in November, and will be exhibited next June at the annual AIA National Convention which is in Miami Beach this year. Rebeca Raney, Class of 1999
Mountain Fold Gallery in New York is pleased to announce the opening of "Love-Lies-Green", a two person show by RE alumna Rebeca Raney ’99 and Cristina Toro, guest curated by Hanna Fushihara Aron. "Love-Lies-Green" is a show that hopes to scatter the seeds of love, empathy, and self empowerment in a time when even our greatest hopes for prosperity and peace are dwindling slowly like candle light at night. 55 Fifth Avenue, 18th Floor.

Maika Escandón, Class of 2000
Maika is training to run for the Boston Marathon in 2010. She has joined the "Mass General Marathon Team Fighting Kids' Cancer...One Step at a Time" to raise money to support pediatric cancer research at MGH. Tina Salvesen (Everglades Class of 1966), an artist with a studio at The Bakehouse and was listed on the Wynwood Art Basel Tour. Tina recently returned to her native Florida after living in the Northeast and Europe. While a resident of Bucks County PA, she exhibited widely, including shows in the Newark Museum, the New Jersey State Museum, State Museum of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and The National Arts Club in New York City, as well as participating in shows in Brussels, Belgium and Spain. Regarded as a master draftsman, she just won the Leo and Raye Chestler Contempory Visual Arts Award from the Dade Community Foundation.
Olivia Wolfe (Class of 2003), exhibited during Art Basel at Anti81 New York Project Space.
Arlene Sierra (Class of 1987), has been commissioned by the New York Philharmonic: The premiere of the new work will be on December 17 with a second performance on December 19. David Michael Scharlin (Class of 1980)
David is pleased to announce that on Wednesday September 23 “WPBT Channel 2 will be broadcasting our new documentary film in its world television premiere. The film, ‘Echoes of the Holocaust,’ features the stories of Holocaust survivors Joe Dziubak, David Schaecter and Anne Rosenheck, all of whom are currently docents at The Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation in Miami Beach. A fourth survivor featured in the movie, Morris Rosenblatt, passed away after the filming was completed. As the four survivors relate their highly moving stories of deprivation, personal loss and ultimate rescue from Nazi persecution, they underscore their deep emotional and spiritual connection to the monument and its profound impact on visitors of all ages, cultures and faiths.”
Please note that one of the 4 segments features a Holocaust Survivor telling her personal story to David’s daughter, Marli, who is a current 10th grader at Ransom Everglades.
Debby Herbenick (Class 1994)

Michaele Moretz Sosinski (Class of 1993)
Vogue's Documentary "The September Issue" will be released nationwide this week. Michaele has a cameo appearance. She would love for RE students and faculty to go see it! It has already won the 2009 Cannes Film Festival Cinematography Award and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.
Bill Walker (Class of 1974)

Jordi Vilasuso (Class 1999) -
Jordi stars in "The Line." The movie is being released at every blockbuster store,
Friday September 4, 2009 across the country with about 30 copies per store. After graduation Jordi moved to NYC to take a 3-year contract on the daytime television series, "Guiding Light." From 2000 to 2003, Jordi played the role of the young mafia hot head Tony Santos. The role won him an Emmy trophy. Jordi recently starred in the Andy Garcia movie "The Lost City" and Jaime Cotton’s La Linea released in July 2009.
Philip Lord (Class 1993)
Phil has a new movie coming out on Friday September 18, 2009 "Cloudy with a Chance of
Meatballs." It is an animated movie based on the well-known children’s book. Phil is currently a comedy writer in Los Angeles with writing partner Christopher Miller. Lord's early film "Man Bites Breakfast" won best animated short at the New England Film and Video Festival. Lord and Miller signed a development deal with the Walt Disney Company to create Saturday morning cartoons in 1997. They then were hired by the Touchstone TV division to create prime-time programming, followed by 20th Century Fox Television.
