PLAYER OF THE DAY...

2/12 - CHARLOTTE MARK

Charlotte was an excellent teammate and leader today at practice.  She continues to work hard and improve as well as constantly motivating others to be prepared and listen.  She was observed by her coaches helping organize the team so we were ready for drills and cleaning up equipment to we could proceed to the next group.  GREAT JOB CHARLOTTE!!!!

2/13 - Annabella Miki

Annabella had an outstanding practice, showcasing her fielding ability and arm strength.  She is constantly improving, leads by example and always plays hard.  During our t-ball scrimmage she had an excellent line drive up the middle for a big hit!  Great job Annabella, keep up the great work!

2/19 - Sofia de la Torre

Sofia has emerged as one of our leaders.  Each and every day she helps organize and lead practice.  As one of the 8th graders on our team she has taken her leadership role seriously and teaches the younger players what it means to be part of a team.  She is working hard as our catcher and will be our field general.  She accepts coaching well and has so much potential.  Sofia is an integral part of the future of RE softball.  Keep working Sofia!!

2-20 Ella Crowley

Ella had an outstanding practice today.  She fielded her position and was loud and effective during our communication drills.  She is learning how to control the infield at shortstop and is helping others along the way.  She also was the first one to attempt to slide and used excellent technique during the sliding drills.  During our scrimmage she delivered the hit of the day with a line drive up the middle.  Great job Ella!

2/27 - Ruby Brooks

Ruby has been extremely coachable.  She is always focused on the specific task at hand and eager to learn and improve.  She asked and answered questions that were helpful to her teammates learning process.  She was aggressive in learning her leads and steals and worked extremely hard to improve on catching fly balls as an outfielder.  Keep up the great work Ruby!

3/6 - Blake Langer

In our game Blake learned her timing and approach at the plate.  She hit a laser 2 RBI line drive to left and hit the ball hard a number of times.  She reached base safely in all four of her plate appearances.  She has also shown great improvement at first base.  In the bottom half of the fourth inning the opposing teams leadoff hitter rocketed a ground ball in her direction, she kept her glove down scooped it up and touched first.  Great game Blake!

3/9 - Sindhu Talluri

Sindhu has been one of our most improved players this season.  Her dedication and hard work has set a great example for her teammates.  After practice on Monday, Sindhu spent extra time with Coach Soto working on her fielding and throwing.  All of that extra time working to improve has been evident in her softball play.  She followed that up with a great game on Tuesday.  Keep working and being an example for your temmates Sindhu!  Great job!
