MS math team finishes tied for third in the nation
Ransom Everglades' middle school math team tied for third in the nation in the Noetic Learning Math Contest Spring 2022 in its category, as four students – Robert Li '26, Daniel Li '28, Joshie Khohayting '28 and Alex Tevelow '28 – finished among the top eight performers in Florida and qualified for the National Honor Roll. Robert Li, Daniel Li and Khohayting were also among only three students in Florida to earn perfect scores on the examination.
The math team, which competed in the seventh-grade competitive category because of the mix of sixth and eighth graders, also earned the TEAM Achievement Award from Noetic Learning, the highest honor for a middle school team.
Max Grunwald '26, Thomas Karam Silva '27, Aarav Jindal '26, Patrick McDevitt '28, Gabe Karsenti '26, Ella Wang '27 and Andrea Medina '28 received honorable mention awards. The team competed under the direction of Middle School Math and Computer Science Coordinator Jessica Merrick.
