Name: Dylan Weiser Dascal
Class Year: 2007
Business Name: Paradise Farms & The Sacred Space
Job Title: Owner
Where did you go to college/university: Indiana University
What was your major: Apparel Merchandising & Business
Where do you currently reside: Miami Beach but moving to South Miami very soon!
What keeps you busy during the week: I am currently in full-time mom mode. I have a 19-month-old daughter, Sky. You can find me chasing her around town. I also have a 12-year-old daughter, Alessandra, who is a 7th grader at Ransom Everglades! She just made the volleyball team so you can find me front and center at all of her games. Being a mom is my favorite, most fulfilling and by far hardest job to date. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
How did Ransom Everglades prepare you for your future: Ransom Everglades continuously instilled in me the importance of giving back to our community. I believe regenerative farming is the ultimate way to do so. With regenerative organic agriculture, we can rehabilitate soil, respect animal welfare and improve the lives of farmers. We can sequester carbon, build healthier communities and reap more nutritious and abundant yields.
What is your favorite Ransom Everglades memory: Winning District Championship for volleyball and basketball senior year!
What song was on repeat your senior year? “How to Save a Life,” The Fray
Words of wisdom for your fellow alumni: “Healing the land starts with healing the soil.”
