French students visit Ransom Everglades on a cultural exchange
Fourteen students from Nîmes, France, visited Ransom Everglades and stayed with RE host families to complete a cultural exchange that began this past summer. The students from Lycée Alphonse-Daudet arrived to Miami on Oct. 29 and attended a breakfast with students in RE's French-language classes on Oct. 30. During their 10 days in Miami, they made visits to RE while immersing themselves in the city's culture and enjoying activities throughout South Florida.
On Oct. 31, the French exchange students were recognized during an upper school assembly, and they also participated in a Jeopardy! competition. During the summer, 12 RE students had traveled with French teachers Dominque McKenna and Maria Eugenia Abrante to Nîmes where they attended class with their French hosts and spent time traveling and touring.
