The Fund for RE & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion through The Fund for Ransom Everglades make a difference in the fabric of our school.

Through cultural programming, guest lectures and professional development, RE continues to cultivate a caring, supportive community that celebrates diversity and unity. We know how important it is to instill our core values of Support & Community in order to create an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
Middle School

1️⃣ Swenson Hall: Speakers commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Read more)

2️⃣ Entry and path to the Dell: Ransom Everglades celebrated the diversity of the RE middle school community at the Cultural Fusion Festival (Read more)

3️⃣ Gymnasium: RE celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights, on both campuses with events that showcased traditional Indian dance, clothing, storytelling, food and arts and crafts (Read more)

Upper School

1️⃣ Lewis Family Auditorium: Programming showcased Brazil during a student-led assembly (Read more)

2️⃣ Miller Quad: Members of the Black Student Association highlighted Black fashion through the decades with a fun and educational fashion show (Read more)

3️⃣ Touzet Patio, La Brisa: RE launched the 'Year of the Dragon' during the Lunar New Year festival (Read more)

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it." The school provides rigorous college preparation that promotes the student's sense of identity, community, personal integrity and values for a productive and satisfying life, and prepares the student to lead and to contribute to society.
