RE sailors claim seventh place in national sailing event

Ransom Everglades sailors Manolo Campos '25, Sofia Rhone-Fernandez '26, Ava McAliley '26 and Sebastian van de Kreeke '25 finished seventh overall at the Atlantic Coast Championship in Annapolis, Md., Nov. 2-3. At the biggest sailing event of the fall season, the team improved on last year's 12th place and showed resilience, overcoming cold weather and shifting winds. The team was led by coaches David Bargehr and Nikole Barnes.
Ransom Everglades finished behind Christchurch School (Va.), Severn School (Md.), St. George's School (R.I.), Hampton Roads Academy (Va.), Lake Forest High School (Ill.) and Tabor Academy (Mass.).
