Student entrepreneurs bring industry leaders to RE
Three prominent industry leaders visited Ransom Everglades to participate in the South Florida Economic Ransom Everglades (SFERE) Conference presented by RE's Miami Venturing Entrepreneurs. Josh Harris, a finance leader and managing partner of the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia 76ers; RE trustee Wendy Holman, CEO and co-founder of Ridgeback Biotherapeutics; and developer Craig Robins, credited with the revival of the Design District, discussed the future of Miami as a global economic hub on a panel moderated by RE’s Eduardo Michelsen ’25 and Pierce Harris ’26. The speakers shared their expertise and encouraged the student entrepreneurs in the audience at the Lewis Family Auditorium.
The marquee panel followed student presentations by Luca Falero ’25, Griggs Diemar ’25, Mateo Delgado ’27, Luisa Duarte ’27, J.J. Candib ’26, Pierce Harris, Isabella de Sabrit ’28, Jordan Posner ’28, Ella Crowley ’26, Ewa Garmendia ’26, Charlie Sender ’26 and a poster session attended by many students. The event was organized by Michelsen, Pierce Harris, Olivia Michelsen ’26, Christopher Tsialas ’26 and Charlotte Gould '26 along with their Miami Venturing Entrepreneurs advisors and RE faculty Maggie Berry and Brandon King.
Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
