Two debate students win "top speaker" recognition

RE students claimed debate awards at the Florida Blue Key Speech and Debate Tournament in Gainesville, Fla., Oct. 27-30, with Alex Freedline '20 winning top speaker in the novice division of Public Forum Debate and Natalia Lopez '20 in the novice division of Lincoln-Douglas Debate.
The team of Freedline and Yasmina Haddad '20 finished in third place in novice Public Forum Debate; Brianna Kerr '19 and Marley Rywell '19 debated in elimination rounds of Varsity Public Forum Debate. Debate coach Kate Hamm led the Raiders at the event that drew more than 1,500 students and schools from across the nation.
