RE athletes, coaches win major All-Dade honors

Four RE athletes and two coaches won athlete or coach of the year recognition at the Miami Herald's annual end-of-year banquet for Miami-Dade County on May 23. Jake Beber-Frankel ’20 was named Boys' Golfer of the Year; Erin Bakes ’18, Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Year; Matt Simko ’18, Boys' Water Polo Player of the Year; and Antonio Mora ’18 co-won Boys' Tennis Player of the Year. Bridgette Laskey and Eric Lefebvre were named coaches of the year in girls' lacrosse and boys' water polo, respectively. The ceremony also recognized the more than two dozen RE first-team All-Dade selections during 2018-19.
