    Fourteen RE students who have demonstrated excellence in service and scholarship will compete for Silver Knight Awards at the 67th Annual Silver Knight Awards Ceremony in May. Ransom Everglades nominated Anya Bhandari '25 (Vocational Technical); Mia Bouyoucef '25 (Science); Marley Carrillo '25 (Speech); Maya Fern '25 (Social Science); Andrew Gedde '25 (Math); Sirja Joeveer '25 (Music & Dance); Kenzie Kaplan '25 (Journalism);  Eduardo Michelsen '25 (Business); Rebecca Paresky '25 (Digital Media); Emma Perdigon '25 (Art); Riley Sepin '25 (Athletics); Kayra Serpenguzel '25 (English); Ethan Sullivan '25 (General Scholarship); and Sindhu Talluri '25 (World Languages) for the prestigious local competition.

    Annual Thanksgiving drives help residents of Coconut Grove and beyond

    RE's annual Thanksgiving drives provided food for many families in the Miami and Coconut Grove communities. Upper school students donated 13 frozen turkeys, 378 bags of groceries, $340 and 14 pies to the Miami Rescue Mission's annual Thanksgiving dinner, and middle school students filled baskets for 40 families with Thanksgiving fare and nearly $1,800 in gift cards. The upper school drive was organized by faculty member Astrid Dalins, and the middle school event took place under the direction of student activities director Lenny Castaneda. Watch the video

    Three upper school students claim YoungArts Awards

    Three RE students won recognition from the annual YoungArts competition, placing in the top 10 percent of more than 11,000 entrants from across the nation in various artistic disciplines. Sirja Jõeveer '25 won a YoungArts Award in the category of Dance/Ballet; Patrick Keedy Brown '26 won in Writing/Poetry; and Taylor Smith '25, in Photography. YoungArts is a national foundation established by Lin and Ted Arison in 1981 to identify and nurture the top young artists in America.

  • Jane Palazzi '30 shined as Charlotte

    Middle school drama brings Charlotte's Web to life at Swenson Hall

    Ransom Everglades middle school drama students brought to life a classic children's story – Charlotte's Web – with a charming production that included a memorable cast, adorable costumes designed by faculty member Alina Mendoza and an impressive set assembled by RE students producers. Miles Caplow '30 starred as Wilbur the pig, Jane Palazzi '30 shined as Charlotte, and nearly two dozen other student-actors excelled in significant roles. Photo Gallery

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it."
