Nearly 40 RE students earn National Merit recognition

Seventeen Ransom Everglades students were named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition: Andrew Gedde '25, Jack He '25, Carlos Horcasitas '25, Hudson Kaplan '25, Alexandra Leiser '25, Paloma Lopes '25, Tian Luan '25, Dieter Manstein '25, David Martinez '25, Victoria Pinilla '25, Max Salomon '25, Kayra Serpenguzel '25, Ethan Sullivan '25, Solon Sun '25, Sindhu Talluri '25, Ethan Thomas '25 and Catherine Zhou '25.
The students were among 16,000 students across the nation who earned semifinalist recognition by excelling on the PSAT examination during their junior year, and each has the opportunity to contend for a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship.

An additional 21 students were named National Merit Commended Scholars:
