Raiders win girls' soccer district championship

With the district title on the line, Johanna James '26 broke a scoreless tie in overtime and fellow junior Stella Colombo '26 added another goal to give the Raiders a thrilling 2-0 victory over True North Classical Academy at Robert E. Walker Field to claim the Class 2A District 15 championship. Goalkeeper Addison Pollock '25 set the stage for the victory with a shutout performance.
The Raiders improved to 11-4-3 and advanced to the regional quarterfinals on February 11, extending the season of seniors Anna Lavernia '25, Casey Manno '25, Lindsay Ng '25, Didi Carvalho '25 and Pollock. The team, under coach Antonio Boada, has gone seven games without a loss, outscoring its opponents 23-3 during that stretch.

Colombo and James have led the team in scoring with 12 and 10 goals, respectively. Olivia Geller '26 has contributed eight goals and 29 steals and Charlie Jaffee '28, six goals and seven assists. Avery Almazan '26 and Lavernia have led the Raiders' defense with a combined 94 steals, and many other players have contributed significant minutes.
