RE finishes third in South Florida High School Regional Science Bowl

A team of Ransom Everglades students finished third in the South Florida High School Regional Science Bowl that brought 34 teams to the University of Miami on February 22. Matthew Moskovitz '25, Max Grunwald '26, Alexander Sargi '25, Michael Sharp '27 and Ethan Moskovitz '27 won eight straight matches by an average score of 114-37 before losing by just four points to American Heritage Boca, the eventual champion, in the semifinals.
The RE team of Dieter Manstein '25, Ethan Sullivan '25, Alex Tevelow '28 and Nicolas Castillo '27 advanced to the quarterfinals, and a third RE team that included Aarav Jindal '26, Nelson Manstein '26, David Martinez '25 and Simone Carrasco '27 advanced to the final round before falling to RE's second team.

The students competed under RE STEM faculty member Yuria Sharp.
