Raider baseball advances to district semifinal
Read MoreJunior Tino Peña '26 was dominant on the hill, as the right-handed pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in a 13-0 Raider victory over Riviera Prep in district quarterfinal action. Peña gave up zero hits and zero runs over four and two-thirds innings while walking one. Offensively, the Raiders were led by freshman Teddy Wagner '28 and sophomore Tyler Grossfeld '27 as each drove in three runs and collected two hits in the victory. Junior Juan Velazco '26 and senior Justin Kaplan '25 added two stolen bases as the Raiders rolled to a dominant victory. The Raiders will now turn their attention to the top seeded True North Titans in a district semifinal this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. -
Raiders advance to SFBC final
Read MoreFreshman Jorge Gross '28 led the way with a pair of hits including a homerun to right field and a double as the Raiders rolled to a 12-2 victory over Somerset Silver Palms in the South Florida Baseball Conference semifinal. Sophomore Tyler Grossfield '27 got the Raiders off to a great start in the first inning driving in a run on a single down the line. Senior Justin Kaplan '25, and juniors Enrique Macias '26 and Juan Velazco '26 each collected two hits in the victory. Junior Jacob Rubinstein '26 earned the win for the Raiders allowing four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. Senior Noah Martin '25 threw one inning of zero-run ball for the Raiders in relief. The Raider will get back to the practice field today as they gear up for the conference title game on Friday night against Marathon. That game will be played at Miami Country Day at 7:00 p.m.Ransom Everglades Varsity Raiders collected nine hits in the game. Gross led Ransom Everglades Varsity Raiders with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Justin Kaplan, Enrique Macias, Velazco, and Gross each collected two hits for Ransom Everglades Varsity Raiders. Ransom Everglades Varsity Raiders had a strong eye at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Rubinstein, Teddy Wagner, and Nicolas Motoki led the team with two free passes each. Grossfeld stole two bases. -

Junior Juan Velazco '26 opened the scoring for the Raiders with a solo shot to left field to start a five run fourth inning which included a pair of RBI's by junior Enrique Macias '27 and senior Justin Kaplan '25. The Raiders would roll from there accumulating 13 hits in the game. Senior Mason Lastra '25 continued his impressive senior season with two hits and two stolen bases. The victory moves the team to 10-4 on the year. The Raiders will have a quick turnaround as they host Rivera Prep this evening for senior night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. -
Raider bats get hot in 14-6 road victory

A seven run fourth inning would open the game up for the Raiders. Senior Justin Kaplan '25 and junior Enrique Macias '26 opened the inning with a pair of singles. A Raider walk loaded the bases for Lastra who made it count with a grand slam for his second home run of the game. Freshman Tyler Grossfeld '28 would add a solo shot to left field to cap a seven run inning. Junior Tino Peña '26 continued his strong junior season on the mound earning the victory striking out seven batters over four and one-third innings of work. The victory moved the Raiders to 8-3 on the season. A quick turnaround awaits as the Raiders host Palmer Trinity in a special event at Loan Depot Park this afternoon. Raiders roll behind strong pitching to move to 5-0
Junior Tito Pena '26 threw five innings of no hit baseball to go along with eight strikeouts in a special performance to lead the Raiders to victory and a 5-0 record on the season. The Raider offense continued their hot start led by senior Mason Lastra's '25 three hit, five RBI game that included his second home run of the season. Sophomore Tyler Grossfield '27 and junior Juan Velazco '26 combined for five hits, five runs scored and three RBI's in the victory. The Raiders will now turn their attention to the Marathon Dolphins as they look to extend their unbeaten streak to six. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club.Read More -
Raider baseball moves to 2-0
Junior Tino Pena '26 picked up the victory striking out eight batters over three innings as the Raiders moved to 2-0 on the season. Senior Mason Lastra '25 sent one over the fence for his first homerun of the season as the Raider bats continued their torrid start to the season. Junior Juan Velazco '26 added four hits, three RBI's and four runs scored including three doubles. In total the Raiders combined for 19 hits in 33 at bats on the evening in a 19-0 route of Pinecrest North Prep Academy.
