Technology responsible use and laptop distribution

Every student at Ransom Everglades is provided a school-issued laptop for their Ransom Everglades academic success. This laptop has been configured with the necessary software and network access to perform all classwork, receive and respond to school emails and notifications, and collaborate with classmates for class projects and extracurricular activities. Other laptops or computing devices are not allowed for classroom use.

New students will receive their school-issued laptop at the mandatory Technology Orientation Session at the start of school; the distribution date will be published in myCOMPASS on the school calendar. This orientation session is packed with information about the use of the student laptop in the classroom. Teachers will be stepping students through hands-on activities on the major software products being used during the academic school year. This session is not to be missed because of its opportunity to get acquainted with teachers, the campus, their peers, and the tools.

We ask that parents and students carefully review and acknowledge the Technology Responsible Use section of the student handbook in its entirety before the Technology Orientation Session.
