Alumni gather in New York City and Miami
Ransom Everglades alumni and friends had a variety of opportunities to connect socially and professionally in Miami and New York City in January. Alumni volunteers spearheaded a real estate speaker event, a finance and entrepreneurship group gathering and a law reception – in addition to the inaugural Alumni Family Picnic on campus. The alumni office traveled to New York City for its annual sojourn, hosting alumni and friends at the Yale Club and getting together with collegiate alumni in the Village and on the Upper West Side.Read More -
RE collegiate alumni return to campus to share advice and reconnect
RE welcomed dozens of collegiate alumni – members of the Classes of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 – for an outdoor lunch with current juniors and seniors on Jan. 9. Angela Dula '23 (Boston College), Gabriel Menendez de Alencar '23 (Harvey Mudd College), Victor Perez '23 (MIT), Pablo Rodriguez-Russowsky '23 (Cornell University) and Karyna Steele '23 (Macalester College) arrived early to speak on a panel to the Class of 2026, offering advice and encouragement about the upcoming college process.Read More

Business Directory Spotlight: Liza Kanter '14
Read MoreDr. Liza Kanter ’14 D.M.D. has a passion for dentistry. It might be because her mother, Dr. Andrea Diamond, has a dental practice. Or it could be that she was drawn to the field after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Whatever the reason, Liza loves the field and actively pursues dental continuing education to stay up to date on the latest research so she can offer her patients the best care. -
Faculty Emeriti Profile: Alina Mendoza
Alina Gonzalez de Mendoza y Bolivar, otherwise known as Ms. Mendoza, taught math at the middle school for 28 years. And in true RE faculty fashion, she did more than that. She was also the Assistant to the Activities Director and the costume designer for all middle school plays, which she still does. So any time you see a show at the middle school, you can be sure the costumes you see are the creations of Ms. Mendoza!Read More -
Young alumni gather for annual Thanksgiving reception
Ransom Everglades hosted more than 300 guests for the Young Alumni Reception during Thanksgiving week. On November 27, young alumni were greeted by Head of School Rachel Rodriguez and Head of the Upper School Donald Cramp for this cherished annual event. Alumni and friends gathered at the Constance and Miguel Fernandez STEM Center and enjoyed music by an alumni band, organized by Arn Xu and Jon Hamm and featuring Adam Chopp '22, Rafi Jimenez-Faisal '17, Leo Menninger '18, Anthony Miller '15, Andres Soto '21 and Maximilian Swietelsky '21. Alumni office gears up for Thanksgiving week events
Read MoreEach year, young alumni return Thanksgiving week to spend time with family and friends, and to take part in the popular Young Alumni Reception at the upper school. Added to the fun this year is Fall Alumni Sports Day, when all alumni are invited back to campus to play basketball, soccer and volleyball. -
More than a dozen alumni help seniors with mock college interviews
The College Counseling Office hosted a two-part College Interview Workshop. Seniors were invited to a “lunch and learn” as the first of two sessions. This session taught them the fundamental skills and tips for preparing for the college interview. The second part of the series allowed the students to take the skills they learned in the first session and put them into real-world practice. More than a dozen RE Alumni came back to campus and provided mock interviews with RE students. Following the session, the alumni noted how well-prepared the students were.Read More -

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it."
